Phellopsis obcordata - Eastern Ironclad Beetle (Zopheridae):



These beetles are deserving of the name ironclad; their elytra (shell) are incredibly hard, as anyone who's tried to push a pin through them can attest to. They can be found under shelf/bracket fungi in mixed wood forests.
