Pompilidae - Spider Wasps:



Spider wasps are easy to spot on the ground as they move making quick intermittent movements while flicking their wings. As their name suggests, pompilids hunt spiders. Unlike most other predatory wasps who prepare a burrow before hunting, spider wasps capture their prey and then search for a place to put it.
